Carlin (my Ecuadorian guide) and I were up at 6am the day before, drove and hiked to the hut, where we met three other climbers and decided to climb with them, ate dinner, played cards, did not sleep (the bunk room was loud and I was nervous), climbed through the night, descended, ate lunch, drove two hours to Banos, ate dinner, went salsa dancing until 2am (I was told that's what everyone does after climbing Cotopaxi lol) and then slept for 3 days. I'm exhausted writing about it. Did I mention this was my first time using crampons? I'm in the middle, Carlin to my right.
