KONYI GLASSES - His real name is Laszlo Alfred Varkonyi, but everyone in Hungary calls him Konyi. He and his climbing partner, David, shared our VISA, base camp and ABC services. This would be their fourth attempt without oxygen (which is nuts, BTW). I don't know exactly how high they made it, maybe to 8300 meters, only that they did not summit.
